In an email with the subject line “Remote work is no longer acceptable,”

which was sent to the company’s executive staff, the CEO said that employees must spend at least 40 hours a week in the office or “leave Tesla.”

He said this should not be a “remote branch office” but the “main Tesla office.”

In his email, the CEO said that he would be open to requests to work from home in some cases, but that these requests would have to be “exceptional” for him to agree to them.
